“Have you ever felt like you have given of yourself until there is nothing left to give? Well, so have I. As a wife, mother, grandmother, missionary, ministry leader, and medical professional, I have weathered many seasons—some fruitful and abundant, others dry and desolate. Whatever season you find yourself in, I want to walk alongside you to cultivate renewed passion for your calling, so you can give freely from an abundant heart.”
Cindy Crebo is the author of Breathe: From Chaos to Calm: A Guide to Regulating the Nervous System and Restoring the Soul—A Soul-Care Guide for Ministry Leaders. With over 20 years in ministry and more than 12 years in healthcare as a physical therapy professional, Cindy brings a unique, holistic perspective to soul care. Since 2008, she has served as a trauma-informed professional coach, equipping healthcare and ministry leaders to build flourishing environments and rediscover their joy.
Her dedication to this work was born out of her own repeated battles with emotional exhaustion, burnout, and the heavy doubt that her work truly mattered. Searching for answers, Cindy was drawn to Jeremiah 17:7-8, sparking a deep curiosity about what it means to be a “well-watered tree” that never fails to bear fruit. Through prayer, studying Scripture, seeking out recovery experts, and journaling her way toward healing, Cindy discovered a path from chaos to calm.
Knowing she is not the only one who has suffered in the dark, disconnected places of burnout, Cindy invites readers to join her on this ongoing, deeply personal journey. Through her writing, she offers profound hope and practical strategies to help you cultivate renewed passion for your life.
Cindy lives in Central Texas with Earl, her husband of nearly 45 years, their son Jonathan, and a passel of furry friends. When she isn’t writing or coaching, she delights in spending time with her three grandchildren, puttering in her garden, and hiking with dear friends.
