Donna Fado Ivery

DONNA FADO IVERY is an artist, spiritual leader, inspirational speaker, teacher, and writer. Her celebrated healing journey from a disabling head injury makes Donna a sought-after speaker. For seventeen years, Donna relied on opioids, a cane, and wheelchair to get around. Now she walks freely. With humor and humility, Donna shares a spiritual path to wholeness. Graduating with honors from the University of California at Davis and Boston University School of Theology, Donna pastored congregations in Northern California as a United Methodist clergywoman. She enjoys watching the sunrise, baking bread, and playing charades.She is married to the Reverend Dr. Hubert Ivery and they have two adult daughters.

Donna is author of the award-winning Sleep, Pray, Heal: A Path to Wholeness and Well-Being, creator of the Scarf of Tears: A Gift for the Healing Process of Grief, and owner of Adventures in Healing.com, a business dedicated to the art of healing. The UCLA Disabled Artists and the California Arts Foundation awarded her a grant to create an audiobook of Sleep, Pray, Heal, which is available on Audible. Her much anticipated sequel, Angel Buddies: My Deep and Wild Dive into Shamanic Healing, is on the short list in the 2025 Wisdom-Faulkner Creative Writing Competition for nonfiction book.
