Greg Grandchamp

Greg Grandchamp is just an everyday guy living an everyday life, just like most of his readers. And therein lies the strength of what he writes. He has been through the very same journey, facing the very same challenges and temptations. Greg makes no claim to be an expert in anything except his own experience. His writing is simple, straightforward, easy to read – written not from a pastoral or theologian’s perspective but from the viewpoint of “every man” trying to understand how our faith is applied in everyday life.

It’s one thing to read and hear the lofty goals of a pastor or some Biblical expert, but being out in the world living can be a whole other challenge and experience. Grandchamp has personally experienced what it’s like to struggle living up to the expectations he set for himself – wondering why he was still doing things and still feeling the way he did. Then he figured out, Jesus had done it all and he didn’t have to live up to anything.

Greg grew up Catholic with a not-very-nice Marine colonel father – who claimed to be a believing Catholic, but certainly never displayed any Christian traits. The man demanded Greg go through all the steps of Catholicism, and so he did. He learned a great deal too – but it never went from his head to his heart.

Grandchamp likes to say that, whenever asked, he always “believed” in God and in Jesus, but it meant nothing in his life. He was one of many who call themselves Christian but have no idea what it means to be a disciple. Who knew about Jesus, but didn’t know Jesus. He had no personal relationship with Jesus and didn’t apply his faith. Yet, Greg seemingly always felt the tug of Jesus on his heart.

This is why Greg writes about what it means to live out our faith in our daily lives as true disciples of Christ.
Greg and his wife of 40-plus years, Norma, live in a small town in northern CO. Greg grew up in New England, but spent most of his life in CA, including raising his family in the Glendale area, moving to CO over 20 years ago. After a 45+ year challenging career in mortgage lending, Greg is now retired from that industry.

Greg and Norma have been closely associated with the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child – having served as year ‘round volunteers, as well as serving in the Denver Processing Center for several years. They both also serve on the Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team, and are also closely associated with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Greg has been a contributing writer for Christianity.com and Biblestudytools.com. He also published a book entitled In Pursuit of Truth, the Adventure Begins, available on Amazon. Greg is also a contributing author to a soon-to-be released anthology entitled Fostering the Fire of Your Heart.
