Jared Mitzelfelt
Jared Mitzelfelt was born in South Bend, Indiana, but grew up for most of his life in the Southwest Suburb of Chicago–Plainfield, Illinois. At a young age, after an ordinary Sunday morning service, Jared had an encounter with Jesus and surrendered his life to Him. Later, during his freshman year of college, Jared had another encounter with
Jesus and felt a call to ministry. After wrestling with the decision, Jared reluctantly accepted the call from the Lord and pursued a life of vocational ministry.
Jared received a Bachelor of Science in Sports Ministry from Grace College and Seminary (2016). He furthered his education with a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2022). Jared now calls Georgetown, Texas, his home. He lives with his wonderful wife, Samantha, and two energetic children, Ellie, age 5, and Ethan, age 1. Currently, Jared serves as the Young Adults Pastor at Central Baptist Church in Round Rock, Texas.
Jared is passionate about communicating and teaching God’s Word to equip the church to live flourishing lives following Jesus. In his downtime, you can find him cheering on his daughter at her sports events, watching baseball, playing church league softball with his friends, or enjoying craft coffee with his wife. Whether engaging with his family, friends, or church community, Jared strives to live out his faith and live full of joy.
