Vivien Hibbert, originally from New Zealand, is an author, teacher, multi-instrumentalist, and worship leader who has devoted nearly five decades to full-time ministry. After gaining national recognition as a finalist on the TV talent show Opportunity Knocks, she shifted her focus to worship ministry in 1977 and, in 1985, relocated to the United States. Vivien has since pioneered worship education worldwide—co-founding The Worship Arts Conservatory, writing the influential book Prophetic Worship (translated into multiple languages), producing worship recordings, and teaching in over twenty-five nations across denominations and generations. In recognition of her impact, Eagles International Training Institute awarded her a Doctorate in 2023 for her more than 45 years of training worship ministries.
Today, Vivien continues to shape worshipers globally as an instructor with Eagles International Training Institute, where she writes and teaches both foundational and doctoral-level courses in worship. She also serves as a frequent conference speaker, faculty member at international schools of ministry, and a mentor to worshipers through music, teaching, and writing. Her passion is to call the Body of Christ into deeper intimacy with God, carrying the sounds of heaven to the nations and helping the Church recover its true purpose: gathering around the manifest presence of the Lord.
