In this insightful volume, Ross examines Paul's confrontation with the Corinthian church, which, despite its success and growth, had replaced the wisdom of Christ with Greek philosophy and cultural ideals. This study contrasts worldly wisdom—both ancient Greek and modern American—with the transformative gospel of Christ. Through a thorough and passionate analysis of 1 Corinthians, Ross reveals the shortcomings of secular thought and illuminates the profound truth of the gospel, exposing the folly of worldly wisdom and highlighting the clarity and power of Christ’s teachings.
